RAMNAGAR, Mar 6: Addressing a series of public meetings in various wards, habitations and pockets of Ramnagar town, local MLA, R S Pathania reiterated his commitment towards developing Ramnagar as a “Model-Town” and announced dozens of developmental works to be initiated in the constituency.
He said that the University Campus Ramnagar and Govt Degree College, Ramnagar shall be developed as exquisite institutions of higher learning and research on high-tech lines. He also said that a solid-waste management and sewerage treatment plant are going to be put in place in Ramnagar very shortly.
The MLA said that Ramnagar Town shall be developed into a viable potential base-camp for tourism promotion, education/medicinal research and adventure-tourism. He announced setting up of Tourist Rest-Houses at Ramnagar, Tarmian Devta temple, Kulwanta, Basantgarh and Dudu.
He also informed that at an estimated cost spanning five crores work on black-topping and macdamisation of all the roads in the Ramnagar Municipality is going to be started very soon.
Pathania said that as earlier informed work on developing of Raja Ram Singh stadium Ramnagar with all modern state of art facilities including a synthetic football Court, handball court, basketball/badminton/tennis indoor stadium, cricket stadium and wrestling turf is going to be started very shortly. He further announced that as many as 15 developmental works worth Rs 50.00 lacs are going to be started in Ramnagar Municipality, which shall give a new dimension to the development and beautification of Ramnagar town. He also announced that work on up gradation / renovation of Community-hall at town hall Ramnagar is going to be started very soon at the cost of Rs 20.00 lacs while the work on beautification/upgradation of Natha Singh Park and Rani Park Ramnagar at a cost of Rs 15.00 lacs is also being initiated. He announced that Ramnagar Public Library shall be developed and nurtured on modern lines while new fresh water supply scheme for Ramnagar town is very shortly going to be dedicated to the public.
While interacting with a select group of enterprising youth he promised to organize a “Youth-Festival” in the area.
