RAJOURI, July 23: Anti-Corruption Bureau Rajouri today produced chargesheet against a Village Level Worker (VLW) of Rural Development Department , who was caught accepting bribe for release of payment of the allotted work in 2017.
Charge sheet (challan) in case FIR No. 37/2017 P/S ACB U/S 5(1) (d) Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt 2006 r/w 5(2) and Sec. 4-A (Amendment Act) 2014, against Mohd Farooq son of Ghulam Ahmed of Behrote Thanamandi Rajouri, then posted as I/C VLW of Block Plangarh District Rajouri, was produced in the Anti-Corruption Court, Rajouri.
The accused was caught accepting bribe of Rs 10,000/- on September 26, 2017 from the complainant namely Irfan Mirza of village Bhattian, Block Plangarh, Tehsil Thanamandi, Rajouri, in connection with release of his payment of the allotted work of construction of water tank under MLC CDF at village Bhattian, Block Plangarh.
After completing the investigation of the case, sanction for launching of prosecution of the accused was obtained from the competent authority and Anti Corruption Bureau, Rajouri today produced chargesheet against him. The next date of hearing is fixed on August 23, 2019.
