CEC Leh takes stock of people’s grievances

LEH, June 25: Chairman/ CEC LAHDC Gyal P Wangyal along with Deputy Chairman Tsering Sangdup visited the Kharyok, Manikhang and Skynoks areas of Lower Leh to take stock of the ongoing works and to listen to people’s grievances and demands.

CEC was accompanied by the Councilor Lower Leh Wangdan Shonu, Nominated Councilor Rinchen Lhamo, Deputy Superintendent Archeological Survey of India Mini Circle Leh Tsering Phunchok, ACD Leh Sonam Chosjor, Administrator MC Leh AG Zargar, AD Tourism Leh Jigmet Namgyal and Xens of concerned department.
The CEC Wangyal gave a patient hearing to all the grievances and demands of the people and assured of early redressal.
The people of Kharyok, Manikhang and Skynoks demanded construction of Kharyok to Chutay Rantak footpath, widening of drainage system, relaxation in construction of basic necessity like toilet inside the Archeological zone, rehabilitate to another place, new connection and regular supply of drinking water, collection of garbage at various location and other related demands.
Responding to the demands in connection with Kharyok foot path, CEC informed the fund has been sanctioned under Capex budget and work will start in coming days. In connection with the collection of garbage CEC directed to Administrator MC for collection of garbage on every alternate day. Regarding the new connection of water supply line CEC Wangyal, directed Xen PHE to speed up tender process and others works. CEC also assured to redress other demands in phase manner.
