Srinagar, June 8: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Haji Mohammad Haneefa Jan today called on Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at Civil Secretariat here .
The CEC Kargil during his meeting with Chief Minister discussed tourism scenario of the district. Haji Haneefa Jan sought special attention of the Chief Minister for development of tourism within the district especially adventurous and heritage tourism.
He requested the Chief Minister to approve and support the proposal submitted by LAHDC Kargil regarding organizing Vijay Diwas as mega event under the theme “Salam Kargil” – A tribute to unsung heroes.
Further, the CEC raised the issue of various incomplete projects viz 200 bedded hospital, AMT School, irrigation schemes and Council Secretariat and demanded funding for these projects. The Chief Minister assured for consideration of demands positively in near future.
The Minister for Education Naeem Akhtar and Secretary Tourism were also present during the meeting.
Later, Haji Haneefa Jan met Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh and expressed gratitude to him for granting AMRUT scheme to Kargil and sought support in future also to get such schemes. He also met MoS Tourism Priya Sethi and discussed various issues of Tourism in the district.
