JAMMU, June 8: National Mazdoor Conference president Subash Shastri has appealed the Prime Minister for early release of 7th Pay Commission award for Central Government employees.
Addressing a well attended workers’ meet Shastri expressed concern over slow processing of 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations adding that award of the same should have been given by January this year.
He however hailed the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission report and favoured introduction of health insurance scheme for Central Government employees and pensioners and demanded implementation of the same in Jammu and Kashmir State also.
Among others present on the occasion were Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Surrinder Kumar, Mohd Shafi, Darshan Bawa, Suraj Parkash, Sukhdev Singh etc.
