KISHTWAR, June 8: One person was killed while one another sustained injuries, when the tipper, they were traveling in, skidded-off the road and plunged into gorge near Kawad area on Kishtwar-Padder road.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AK-2499 loaded with sand was on its way to Padyarna from Kishtwar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into gorge near Kawad area, resulting into on the spot death of one person and serious injuries to another.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person identified as Firdous Ahmed (22), son of Shaban of Ahangarpora, Dool, District Kishtwar to District Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The body of the deceased identified as Sameer Ahmed (35), son of Ahad Bhat of village Withana, Mughal Maidan, district Kishtwar was shifted to District Hospital, where after completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to legal heirs.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
