KARGIL, June 20: Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan along with Deputy Commissioner Kargil Haji Gulzar Hussain and Executive Councilor for Health Mohammad Hussain inaugurated Critical Care Ambulance, which is the first of its kind in the fleet of Ambulance in District Hospital Kargil and a garbage van.
Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan on this occasion told that this is a great achievement for the district which will reduce the risk of fatalities during transportation of critical patients towards Srinagar or Leh.
While talking to media Dr Sikindar Khan told that it was a long pending and important demand of the district Hospital which was fulfilled by the initiative taken by Chairman J&K legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali, Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan and Deputy Commissioner Kargil Haji Gulzar Hussain and finally was procured at a cost of Rs 40 lakh. He further added that the ambulance is equipped with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) that can be lifesaving in case of Acute Coronary Syndrome. It is also equipped with Vital Signs Monitor (ECG, Blood Pressure and SPO2) that can help medicos and paramedics keep a track of patient’s condition and act as per the requirement and all other latest life support equipment with spilt AC for maintaining the temperature inside the ambulance both in winter and in summer and GPS.
Dr Sikindar Khan further told that District hospital also procured a Tripper for dumping of hospital garbage and waste at a cost of 14 lakh.
On this occasion Chief Medical Officer Kargil Dr Ibrahim Khan, Specialist Doctors and paramedics were also present.
