Case registered against saw mill owner

JAMMU, Feb 27: Nowabad police registered case against saw mill owner.
As per police sources, on February 12 this year, a fire broke out in a saw mill near Gole Pulli Talab Tillo.
Due to fire, the building housing the saw mill collapsed and 3 firemen lost their lives, while six others including four civilians and two firemen suffered injuries.
During preliminary investigation, negligence on the part of the saw mill owner came to fore and accordingly a case was registered against him at Nowabad Police Station.
A case under FIR Number 39/2020 under Sections 304-A, 338, 337 and 336 IPC was registered at Nowabad Police Station against owner of the saw mill identified as Romesh Chander, son of Madan Lal, a resident of Gole Pulli Talab Tillo, District Jammu, police sources informed.
Whether the owner was running the saw mill legally or illegally is a part of investigation, which is going on.
