Kathua police continues drive against violators of traffic rules

KATHUA, Feb 27: Kathua police continued its massive and sustainable drive against traffic violations on third consecutive day today. During the drive today drivers of 292 vehicles were booked under MV Act, 137 vehicles were seized and 155 challans were issued.
Police teams of Kathua under special drive on third consecutive day today launched in collaboration with Traffic Police cracked on traffic violators to send strong message against violation of traffic rules, triple pillion riding, without helmet driving and underage driving to ensure smooth and safe driving on roads to save precious lives.
During the last three days Police booked 1199 vehicles, seized 511 vehicles and issued 688 Challans against the violators of traffic rules.
Kathua Police appealed all citizens to follow traffic rules, especially parents were requested to put a check on teenagers and not to allow them drive illegally.
It also warned that those found violating the traffic rules in the district will be strictly dealt under law.
