JAMMU, Mar 14: The Cardiology Department of the Government Medical College, Jammu has taken strong exception to the allegations leveled by Kranti Dal on the marketing of stunts in the Department at exorbitant rates.
The Department described the allegations as “baseless and malicious’’, which were aimed at tarnishing image of the Cardiology Department, which was working very well in the State.
“Several reputed Cardiologists from United States, France and other countries apart from India have visited Cardiology Department and praised its working. It is for the first time in several years that the Cardiology Department was conducting several procedures in the Medical College, Jammu for which the people earlier had to go to outside the State,’’ it said, adding someone had leveled the allegations without going into the position of the Department.
They said the patients were free to purchase stunts or any other equipments and drugs from anywhere and no patient has so far complained that he was forced to purchase any equipment from particular company or shop.
