NEW DELHI, June 26: Cardamom prices gained 0.81 per cent to Rs 775.10 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged their holdings on upsurge in spot demand.
Restricted arrivals from producing regions and some export enquiries also supported the upside.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in August gained Rs 6.20, or 0.81 per cent, to Rs 775.10 per kg in business turnover of 562 lots.
Similarly, the spice for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 2.80, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 755.40 per kg in 1,161 lots.
Analysts said speculators enlarged their holdings on upsurge in demand in the spot market amid restricted arrivals from producing region mainly pushed up cardamom prices at futures trade. (PTI)
