UDHAMPUR, Apr 8: A person had a miraculous escape when a Maruti car, being driven by him, caught fire due to some technical snag.
The incident took place on the Dhar Road near the office of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and opposite Post Office. The car bearing registration number JK02N-8890, suddenly caught fire apparently due to some mechanical fault but its driver Om Parkash of Malad managed to come out timely and safely.
People in the nearby doused the flames with different means and thus averted a major tragedy.
