JAMMU, Aug 5: A bus owner was manhandled by a cop in RS Pura here today.
As per official sources, a bus owner namely Kuldeep Raj was manhandled by cop in RS Pura. The video of the incident has gone viral on the social media sites.
The family members of the victims and other people assembled outside Police Station RS Pura and held protest against police highhandedness.
While talking to the media persons, the victim’s son alleged that the cop assaulted his father in full public view and action should be taken against him.
SSP Jammu should immediately enquire about this matter and action should be taken against the cop, the protestors said.
Later, SHO RS Pura Inspector Rajesh Sharma assured the protesting people of initiating a departmental enquiry against the erring official.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed from the spot.
