BSF officer killed, 4 hurt in blast

SAMBA, Nov 19 A BSF Assistant Commandant was killed and four others were injured in a blast at a Border Outpost (BOP) Mangu Chak along the International Border (IB) in Samba district today, an officer said.
“A blast has taken place at a BOP in Samba sector. One BSF officer has died and four others were injured,” he said.
An Assistant Commandant was killed and four jawans were injured in the blast in Mangu Chak, said Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Arun Manhas, adding that the investigation was on.
A Border Security Force (BSF) officer said it was not known yet whether the blast was caused due to some accident.
The Assistant Commandant has been identified as Zabber Singh. He died on spot.
The injured were referred to the hospital for specialized treatment. They were identified as Inspector Naresh Naidu, Inspector G Ajit Kumar, SI Recruit Amit and SI Recruit Akash. Besides one SI Recruit Pardeep received normal injuries.
