JAMMU, Feb 20: Director General BSF (Western Command) Chandigarh today honoured Professor (Dr) A S Bhatia, Head Department of Biochemistry Government Medical College Jammu in recognition to his cooperation and special attention in treatment of BSF Jawans, referred by BSF Hospitals under Jammu front.
The commendation included a commendation certificate issued by ADG (Western Command) Border security force Chandigarh.
It is pertinent to mention that Dr Bhatia has been on the forefront in providing expert diagnostic services to the Armed Forces including BSF and Indian army along with her wife Dr Harleen Kaur , a senior Microbiologist of Govt Medical college Jammu during the last two years of Covid pandemic.
Dr Harleen kaur has been honored by the Commandant of Military Hospital Satwari, Jammu for her contribution towards the services of Indian Army during the pandemic. The medical couple has been awarded by the Department of Health and Family Welfare Govt of Jammu and Kashmir for their work during the Covid pandemic.
Dr Bhatia has been instrumental in upgrading the Biochemistry laboratories of Government Medical College and associated hospitals during the last decade.
