JAMMU, May 24: Continuing their efforts to serve the needy in every way possible, Jammu and Kashmir unit of Brahmkumaris provided ration to hundreds of needy families in Jammu West Assembly segment, here.
Former State President BJP and Ex MLA, Sat Sharma (CA) distributed ration with the team of Brahmkumaris.
Rajyogini Sudershan Didi (Director, Brahmkumaris J&K), District President Munish Khajuria, Corporator Ward-8 Dr Akshay Sharma, District General Secretaries Advocate Rajesh Gupta and Advocate Karan Sharma, Mandal President Keshav Chopra, BK Ravinder Kumar and BK Ravi Bakshi were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma appreciated the efforts of Brahmkumaris team and said that they have been serving the society from nearly a century now, adding that during this pandemic situation when the whole world is facing crisis, the Brahmkumaris pledged to serve the needy so that no one slept hungry.
He stated that though their main work was to transform the life of people through Rajyoga meditation but they were always ready to help the society.
Sudershan Didi said that this world was like a huge drama in which people have got the role according to their ‘karmas’, adding that with meditation, they help people according to their needs because society belonged to them and they belonged to society.
Munish and Dr Akshay said that special attention should be given to social distancing and everybody must obey the guidelines of the Government to protect themselves and others too.
They also said that with the help of Former MLA nearly 20000 needy families in Jammu West were provided with essential services.
