JAMMU, Apr 15: Brahma Kumaris Jammu described the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ (Women’s Reservation Act) as a golden chapter in India’s democratic history.
In a press conference here today, Sudarshan, Regional Director of Brahma Kumaris Jammu, stated that when a woman is mentally and spiritually empowered, she becomes capable of transforming the society.
“The Women’s Reservation Act (WRA) is a constitutional pathway to bring the inner strength of a woman to the forefront of governance and policy-making. The 33 per cent reservation in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies is not merely a distribution of seats but a means to ensure the dignified participation of the half-population in shaping the nation’s future,” she maintained.
It was specially highlighted that Prajapita Brahma gave the supreme position to women in society and bestowed the ‘Urn of Spiritual Knowledge’ upon women, as a result of which thousands of Brahma Kumaris are now laying the foundation of a new spiritual era across 140 countries.
