POONCH, Aug 3: A minor boy was killed and two youth injured when a tractor trally rolled down in Gulpur area of Poonch while eleven persons were injured as a Tata Sumo met with an accident in Kalaban area of Mendhar today.
Official sources said that 12-year-old Sheraz Ahmed, son of Mohd Javed, resident of Karmara village was killed on the spot when a Tractor trally No. JK-12/ 6253 rolled down into the fields from a Kucha road at Gulpur village this afternoon. Tractor driver and another youth were injured in the accident. They were shifted to District Hospital, Poonch. They were identified as Liaqat Hussain (19), son of Mohd Fazal and Mohd Akram, son of Mohd Sadiq, residents of Karmara village.
Meanwhile, 11 persons were injured when a Tata Sumo vehicle No. JK02T/ 8185 met with an accident near Kalaban today. The injured were removed to PHC Kalaban where most of them were discharged after first -aid. One Mohd Qayoom, son of Mohd Ismail from UP received multiple fractures on his arm and was admitted to Mendhar hospital. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
