JAMMU, Aug 3: A bootlegger, who was evading his arrest since long has been arrested by Bishnah police.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Akhnoor police station conducted raid and arrested an absconding bootlegger, who was at large since long.
The arrested person has been identified as Vijay Singh, son of Satpal, a resident of Sanjay Nagar, Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 107/2006 under Section 48-E Excise Act with Bishnah police station. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by the court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
