Bovines smuggling bids foiled; 15 cattle rescued, 3 arrested

JAMMU, July 2: Nagrota and Chanderkote Police foiled bovines smuggling bids by rescuing 15 cattle and arresting 3 persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Nagrota laid a naka and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CS-7187.
During checking, police team rescued 4 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Shubam Kumar, son of Prithvi Raj of Kot Bhalwal District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 300/2021 under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started.
The arrest and recoveries have been made by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Parupkar Singh.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Chanderkote laid a naka and intercepted two load carriers bearing registration numbers JK19-8423 and JK19-7634.
During checking, police team rescued 11 bovine animals from the vehicles and arrested two persons, who were identified as Mohammad Aashiq, son of Mohammad Sadiq, a resident of Chanderkote District Ramban and Yasir Ahmed, son of Mohammad Farooq, a resident of Pernote district Ramban.
Cases under FIR Numbers 75/2021 and 76/2021 Under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation initiated.
The whole operation was conducted by SHO Chanderkote Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary under the supervision of Additional SP Ramban Rajni Sharma.
