Bovines smuggling bid foiled

KATHUA, Nov 23: Lakhanpur police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 11 cattle and arresting one person.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Lakhanpur led by PSI Sohan Singh and PSI Rakshat Singh under the supervision of SHO Lakhanpur Inspector Sanjeev Chib laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number CG04MG-7788.
During checking, police team rescued 11 bovine animals from the vehicle and arrested one person, who was identified as Kuljeet Singh, son of Jarnail Singh, a resident of Chattisgarh.
A case under FIR Number 104/2020 under Section 188 IPC and 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and investigation started.
