Bovines smuggling bid foiled

KATHUA, Dec 20: Police foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 10 bovine animals, while the smuggler managed to escape from the spot.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kathua Police Station laid a naka near Lower Jagatpur and intercepted a dumper bearing registration number PB06V-4303.
During checking, police rescued 10 bovine animals from the vehicle, while the smuggler (driver) managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 377/17 under Section 188 RPC 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Kathua Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kathua Inspector Anil Sharma and assisted by Incharge Police Post Industrial Estate SI Verinder Singh Incharge foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua SS Sambyal and SSP Kathua Mohammad Suleman Choudhary.
