Bovine smuggler arrested, 3 animals rescued

SAMBA, July, 26: District Police Samba today successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing three animals and arresting one bovine smuggler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba.
Acting on information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a police party of Police Post (PP) Supwal intercepted an auto load carrier bearing Registration Number PB06BB/8468 for checking.
During checking of the vehicle, three bovines were found which were tied in a cruel manner and were transported without any permission.
The driver of the vehicle namely Sumbinder Singh, son of Rash Paul Singh of BidhipurJattan tehsil R.S Pura district Jammu has been arrested.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 190/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Samba and investigation started.
All the bovines were rescued and shifted to a safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines was also seized.
