REASI, Dec 14: Foiling an attempt of bovine smuggling, Police has rescued four animals and arrested three smugglers in Arnas.
Police team, led by SHO Arnas, Inspector Sanjiv Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Zaffar Iqbal Nawaz and SSP Sujit Kumar, laid a special naka at Matlote and apprehended three persons namely Mohd Mansha of Thilloo, Rehmat Ali of Dharmari and Nissar Ahmed of Dharmari who were smuggling four bovine animals toward Kashmir in a TATA mobile bearing registration number JK20-7812.
The bovine animals were rescued and all the three accused persons were arrested. Police also seized the vehicle and registered a case in this regard at Police Station Arnas.
