Border people demand land compensation

KATHUA, Sept 19: The residents of Hiranagar border area of village Manyari, Bobiya, Londi, Chhan Tanda ,  Karole Matharian and Karole Krishna led  by advocate Ranjit Singh submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner, Kathua in support of their demands and grievances being faced by them due to the failure of district administration to solve them.
While talking to media person advocate Ranjit Singh alleged that the border people are facing numbers of problem due to terror of Pakistan. On the other side the border farmer are not given the land compensation of land used by security forces. He alleged that the BSF has acquired 44 feet wide land along the fencing from Paharpur to Londi village.  But the compensation of land was not given to land occupants.
The district administration is adopting pick and choose policy  and farmers of village Tanda , Karol Matharian , Bhatti ,  Karol Krishana , Bobiya and Londi  villages were not given the land compensation while the security forces have started construction works on 44 feet wide land to construct the track on International border.
They appealed the Deputy Commissioner Kathua to immediately release the compensation or stop the track works on border before black topping of road. Otherwise border farmers will comes on road and also force the authorities to stop the construction works.
