UDHAMPUR, May 10: Udhampur Police today arrested a bootlegger in Bus Stand area and seized 38 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession.
Based on reliable information, a Police party from Police Station Udhampur intercepted one suspicious person who was travelling on foot near Mini Bus Stand, Udhampur. During thorough search of that suspicious person, 38 pouches of 250 ml illicit liquor were recovered from him. Police seized the illicit liquor and arrested the accused, who was identified as Shanker Dass of village Piuna Udhampur.
In this connection, a case under Section 48A Ex. Act has been registered in Police Station Udhampur.
