Srinagar, May 22: Police today said a bootlegger was arrested and illicit liquor was recovered from his possession in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police spokesman said acting on a specific information, police laid a checkpoint near Eidgah crossing in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district. “During checking, one person identified as Aadil Ahmad Mandoo was intercepted. On checking, 32 bottles of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession,” he said.
The spokesman said police have registered a case under FIR number 64/17 under section 48 F Excise Act and investigation was taken up.
