JAMMU, June 5: Centre for Kashmiri Language Literature and Culture in collaboration with Vemedh Rangmanch orgainsed a book release function at K L Saigal Hall, Abhinav Theatre here today.
Bav-Tae-Bavana a book written by Pt Baskar Nath Rishi was released by Pt Moti Kaul, State vice president BJP/Ex president All India Kashmiri Samaj who was the chief guest on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering he said that we must encourage such upcoming writers so as to provide an avenue for them. Kaul said that devotional poetry in exile proved a tool for giving vent of a depressed entity caught in the web of socio-political suppression.
Brij Nath Betab, a well-known writer and poet read a paper on the book and praised the efforts of the writer and  said the devotional songs were really heart touching.
Swami Kumarji also praised the writer’s efforts and wished him luck. Prof R L Shant the noted writer poet and critic lauded Baskar Nath Rishi for his first attempt and wished him more success in future.
A large number of writers, poets critics and various orgainsations heads graced the function besides A K Raina, Dr Usha Tickoo, Aryan Ramesh, Rajader were present on the occasion.
Welcome address was read by Promila Kaul and vote of thanks was presented by Rohit Bhat.
