Body of child washed away in flash flood recovered

JAMMU, June 19: The dead body of a girl child, who was washed away last evening in flash flood in Jhajjar Nallah, was recovered today.
The deceased child has been identified as Chandan Jyoti (6) daughter of Brij Mohan, resident of Otta (Dansal). She had gone for a bath in the nallah with five other girl children when water level in the nallah increased suddenly and all of them washed away.
While three of them were rescued alive by police officials and local people last evening, two were recovered dead and one was missing. The body of the missing girl was recovered this morning from the nallah after which her body was shifted to Government Hospital, Dansal and handed over to her legal heirs for last rites after getting conducted postmortem.
