Bihar residents arrested with ganja

JAMMU, June 19: Narwal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested two persons hailing from Bihar and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Narwal Police Post laid a naka and intercepted two pedestrians, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 3.70 kilograms of ganja from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Azadi Sahu, son of Hardev Sahu and Ashok Parsad, son of Triveni Parsad, both residents of Bihar, at present Gangyal.
A case under FIR Number 159/18 has been registered at Bahu Fort Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Narwal Police Post SI Varuneshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Parvez Sajjad, SDPO East Vipan Chandran, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
