UDHAMPUR, June 17: One-day Blood Donation Camp was organized by the District Police Line in collaboration with District Hospital and Indian Red Cross Society, Udhampur. The blood donation was held in the premises of the DPL Udhampur.
DIG Udhampur Reasi Range, Garib Dass was the chief guest on the occasion. Superintendent, District Hospital, Dr. Chander Parkash,  Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Deepak Kumar and Honorary Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Udhampur. V.P. Sharma were also present on the occasion.
In his address, the chief guest encouraged the police personnel to participate actively in the noble endeavour and contribute their bit in saving somebody’s life by donating blood.
He appreciated the initiatives taken by the Administration of District Police Lines and police personnel for participating in Blood Donation Camp. Dr. Chander Parkash spoke about the importance of blood donation.
The police dignitaries who donated blood towards the mission of saving precious lives of probable recipient included the Garib Dass, SSP Mohd. Suleman, ASP Udhampur Khalil Poswal, SHO Udhampur Mahesh Sharma. The technical staff worked under the overall supervision of Dr. Deepak Kumar, Deputy Medical Superintendent of District Hospital, Udhampur.
