BJP WC meet today to promise Statehood, restoration of political process

Party committed to retrieve PoJK, JK territory with China

JAMMU, Aug 24: BJP is committed to restoration of Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir at an appropriate time and party will make this declaration in its political resolution to be tabled in virtual State Working Committee meeting tomorrow.
The political resolution among other things will also make an assurance to the people of the J&K by showing its commitment for starting of political process in the newly carved out Union Territory of J&K without any further delay to put an elected Government in place in order to reflect and resonate the aspirations and wishes of the people, sources told Excelsior.
Maintaining that J&K is crown of India, the resolution further promised that it will glitter with added grave and ambience in times to come, sources said. It also reiterated to reclaim illegally occupied territory of J&K from Pakistan as well as China.
The political resolution will be tabled by BJP spokesperson, R S Pathania and it will be seconded by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, sources added.
The virtual Working Committee meeting will be addressed by national general secretary, Murli Dhar Rao from New Delhi while the valedictory address will be made by another national general secretary, Dr Anil Jain. BJP national vice president will address the question answer session while the concluding address will be made by the party J&K president, Ravinder Raina, sources said.
The resolution while welcoming acceding of party’s demand for grant of political reservations to STs would call upon Lt. Governor led dispensation to be more pro-active and sensitive to public needs and exigencies.
Sources said the political resolution while deprecating the tirade started by secessionists and terrorists in Kashmir Valley against the political workers will make a forceful demand to the UT administration to ensure and make adequate provisions of security for political workers in the Valley. It will further make a demand that militancy victims should be indemnified at par with the elected representatives and further efforts be made to support and rehabilitate the terror-hit families.
The resolution will also make a strong demand of crushing terrorism with iron hands and each and every bullet fired in an act of subversion should be reciprocated and rebuffed with full might.
It will also make an appeal to the entire business community of the country to come and invest in J&K post abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (a) last year.
Welcoming the peaceful resolution of centuries old stalemate regarding Ram Janam Bhoomi at Ayodhya (UP) the resolution said that a resplendent Ram Mandir will come up at the birth place of Lord Rama -embodiment of devotion, inspiration and emulation for the civilization settled centuries back on the banks of river Sindhu.
It will further extend all support to Union Government led by Narendra Modi in its efforts and endeavors in driving out each and every infiltrator from Indo-China border . The resolution made it clear that BJP stands firm against the terrorism and unwanted expansion by irresponsible neighbours.
The BJP also expressed its thanks to International community whereby 184 countries have backed India’s claim for a permanent seat in UN Security Council.
Describing the decision taken by Parliament of India on August 5 and 6 last year as historical, the resolution said that it not only changed the political perspective and corrected the deliberate wrong committed to India but has also put Jammu and Kashmir on the fast pace of development. It said the concrete steps were taken in last one year to meet the aspirations of the people of J&K.
It said that during last one year the administration has moved in right direction to provide the people the sense of relief and justice. It however maintained that the wrongs committed in sevendecades can’t be rectified over night. It further said that the Government has taken major decisions in J&K during last one year to provide transparent and corruption free governance to people. In seven decades misrule the corruption has remained hallmark in J&K, it added.
The resolution said that the money which earlier used to come from Centre for J&K instead of being used for public was being swindled by few political families leaving people high and dry and the present Government took various steps to remove imprints of corruption in the administration.
It said banks and financial institutions have been freed from corruption and many pending developmental projects which were languishing up to 25 years have been taken up for execution and completion. In last one year 600 projects of immense public importance have been completed at the cost of Rs 800 crore, it added.
Further the resolution said that many projects which have the potential of changing economical health of the J&K UT have been put to fast pace like Jammu Zoo, BPOs across J&K EDI Campus at Bari Brahmana etc. The construction of AIIMS in Jammu as well as in Kashmir has been put on fast pace and so the other projects, the resolution added.
Besides, the political resolution, the economic resolution will also be tabled in the meeting which will be brought by Chief spokesperson of the party, Sunil Sethi. It will be seconded by Shamsher Singh Manhas MP (RS).
The third resolution will be on Atam Nirbhar Bharat which will be tabled by Dr Narinder Singh, vice president of the party. The meeting will also discuss party matters, challenges before it and future programme.
