BJP to launch effective fight against malnutrition: Koul

JAMMU, Dec 29: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir will undertake a mission to launch a fight against malnutrition, stated Ashok Koul, J&K BJP general secretary (Org.).
Ashok Koul was chairing a meeting at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, which was also addressed by J&K BJP general secretary, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal and BJP NEM & Headquarter, Incharge, Priya Sethi.
Ashok Koul, while addressing the meeting said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi called for an effective fight against the malnutrition and as such J&K BJP will undertake a mission to ensure this. He said that healthy baby boy and baby girl competition will be organized from January 8, 2022 to January 14, 2022. He said that the competition will be organized at all the booths so that it is envisioned to become a mass movement.
He asked the party leaders to arrange the teams of party workers at district and Mandal level so as to contact every home with child/ children age below six years and register the information on Poshan Tracker App.
He said that the office bearers of the party like Mahila Morcha, Medical Cell, trained health volunteers and so on must be added to the committees.
Dr. Manyal said that under this campaign, all the children who are malnourished and lack the necessary health parameters like height, weight etc., are to be identified and helped in collaboration with various institutions of the Government, local bodies and social organizations.
Priya Sethi said that various schemes being run by the Ministry of Women and Child Development of the Modi Government should be given wide publicity in this regard up to the booth level.
