JAMMU, Apr 7: Continuing with the second phase of his election campaign, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh today did door-to-door campaigning in Bagger/Assar area where while addressing the people he said, BJP is the only viable democratic option for self-respecting patriotic people, particularly in a  State like Jammu & Kashmir, because here the other major national party, namely the Congress, has in its bid for power, yielded space to separatist-friendly regional parties.
The fate of minorities is also insecure in the hands of Congress-NC coalition, he alleged.
Dr Jitendra Singh claimed, BJP is not controlled by any dynasty and it could choose a tea seller with a humble background as its Prime Ministerial candidate because, unlike several other parties, it is not a mother-son or father-son party. Modi has arrived as a lease of fresh air to liberate the masses suffering from suffocation of price rise, corruption and exploitation, he added.
In order to get the real benefit of the forthcoming Modi Government at the Center, Dr Jitendra Singh said, people in the State will have to ensure that they vote for BJP in Parliament election so that they get adequate representation at the Center.
Referring to the poor development of far-flung areas as a standing example of regional discrimination, Dr  Jitendra Singh said certain  problems like poor road connectivity and inadequate health facility etc  have remain unaddressed even after 66 years of independence.
Dr Jitendra Singh promised to take up the issue of VDCs and SPOs within one year of taking over of the Modi Government. He also committed to arrange engagement of local youth in the Central road and hydro-electric projects in the area.
Time has come to bid goodbye to present dispensation and welcome new dispensation under Narendra Modi, said Dr Jitendra Singh and appealed for a vote for BJP.
