BJP must clear stand on delimitation issue: Cong

JAMMU, July 18: Congress has asked BJP to clear stand on its commitment of delimitation of Assembly constituencies after the GoI vague reply and avoiding a question seeking road map for the delimitation for the State.
Reacting sharply to the GOI reply in Rajya Sabha stating that delimitation is within ambit of J&K constitution and avoided to clarify the stand and future road map in this direction, JKPCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma blamed BJP of  making hollow slogans and playing bluffs with people for their vote politics. It is manifestly clear that BJP does not intend to fulfill any such vital commitment with the people especially Jammu region and has only exploited their emotions for vote politics.
Mr Sharma said that BJP coins a new slogan to cash on the emotions and sentiments of people but goes on changing slogans to divert attention of people from one issue to another. He asked people to question BJP which important issue was addressed and resolved by the BJP in past five years after raking up issues.
He said BJP did not fulfill any major commitment during past five years on important issues. He asked BJP to clear stand and give time schedule for the delimitation seeking it to be completed before the Assembly elections.
Sharma also sought to know what happened to its campaign to deport Rohingyas from Jammu in view of security threat raised by it and why it has not remained an issue for BJP now. He cautioned the people about the politics of exploitation of BJP, for vested interests.
