BJP losing ground: Cong

RAMBAN, June 7: Targeting BJP leadership, the Pradesh Congress Committee members have alleged that BJP is losing ground in Jammu region very fast while the politics of polarization has almost come to an end in the State.
Addressing a Congress convention at Banihal today, State Congress chief G A Mir said that politics of polarization has come to an end as people have rejected BJP’s communal agenda and anti-people policies. He said BJP has polarized the situation during elections in the country and divided people to gain political mileage. There is no doubt that BJP succeeded in polarizing the situation in the country, but  it is also true that people of country have realized that BJP played a polarization card to  mislead them on various religion and regional lines.
Mr Mir said the same strategy was adopted  by BJP in Jammu to defeat  the Congress party but this party secured highest percentage of votes in the Assembly elections 2014. He said the double speak  and lust for power have exposed BJP and its leaders in front of people and their  so called membership drive in Kashmir or Jammu have proved hoax.
Referring to local issues Mir expressed anguish over the shortage of  ration in far- flung areas. He said there is a dire need of ration but Govt is unable to ensure the supply.
Speaking on the occasion former Minister Sham Lal said that BJP has lost ground miserably in Jammu province and it’s slogan of `Achay Din’ have exposed them before the people.  He alleged that coalition is responsible for the agony of the people. He expressed confidence that people will give them a befitting reply.
MLA Banihal Vaqar Rasool also addressed the gathering. GA Wani, Mohd Amin Bhat, Yogesh Sawhney, Subash Bhagat, Ashok Kumar, Farooq Katoch and others also spoke on the ocasion.
