BJP Kashmir DPs’ delegation calls on Rajnath

JAMMU, May 28: A delegation of BJP Kashmir Displaced Unit met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here on Wednesday under the leadership of T.N. Bhat president, BJP Kashmir Displaced unit and handed over a memorandum to him.
The other members of the delegation included Mohan Ji Sopori, Veena Gurtoo, A.K Pandita, and P.L.Dhar.
The memorandum said that in order to put an end to the barbaric assaults atrocities inflicted upon the Kashmiri Pandits from time to time by the forces inimical to peace security and sovereignty of the country, it is high time that the Government should appoint a high level Commission to probe the circumstances that forced the minuscule minority of Displaced Community of KP’s to lead a life of perpetual depravity and denigration for the last 25 years in exile in their own county.
It demanded return & rehabilitation at one place settlement in Kashmir Valley,
political empowerment of Kashmiri Pandits, grant of Minority status to miniscule Kashmiri Pandits in J&K, waiver of education loan upto Rs five Lac, grant of Prime Minister’s Scholarship facility, medical facility, immediate release of Ex-gratia for gutted houses and compensation for damaged houses, special employment package for displaced Kashmiri Pandit youth, special economic package for over aged unemployed Kashmiri Pandit Youths, compensation for agriculturists and orchardists, economic package for traders, construction of hutments for Kashmiri Pandit Employees appointed under Prime Minister’s Packages in the Kashmir Valley, removal of encroachments from migrant property and over all Central Government supervision of Relief & Rehabilitations schemes in J&K State.
