JAMMU, Jan 8: Pradesh Mahila Congress has shown its concern for growing public outrage and protests and student unrest in all major universities and cities of the country. It appears BJP/NDA is hell bent to disturb communal harmony in the country.
Addressing largely attended meeting, Indu Pawar, president Pradesh Mahila Congress J&K said that communal and religious agenda of some people is weakening the country and disturbing communal harmony of the nation, in our country, unity in diversity is the only principle to maintain peace and harmony. Congress has always stood for this and always believe in maintaining communal harmony. She said congress has believed in welfare of all sections of society and maintained true secular structure of our nation.
Pawar appealed Govt to do something for uplifting the sinking economy/rampant unemployment amongst youth. She said soaring prices of all commodities including diesel and petrol are hurting all, let the Govt act on these issues.
Congress has always stood for unity of country and believes unity in diversity & remains committed to upheld this principle in letter and spirit. This will provide relief to common man who is badly hurt due to high prices. Problems of youth deserve special attention so that youth is free to contribute in national building.
She appealed Narendra Modi to fullfill promises made to public before going to last national polls and have open discussion in Parliament.
Pawar said Congress is a responsible opposition and its leaders are reminding PM Modi to follow constitution and focus on employment and upliftment of weaker sections.
