BJP fails to fulfill promises of last Assembly polls: Mula Ram

JAMMU, May 19: Former minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram has alleged that the Government has failed in providing basic amenities like water, power and ration to the common people of the State.
Addressing public meeting organized by DCC Jammu (Rural), in Raipur- Domana constituency today, Mula Ram asserted that the unprecedented shortage of basic amenities in Jammu highlighted the apathy of the previous BJP Government, which had failed to address the issues of people. He said that there is a strong resentment among the people of Jammu district against previous Government as it has not fulfilled its promises made at the time of Assembly elections.
” The previous BJP Government has failed to provide basic amenities to the people of Nagrota constituency. The common masses have been facing problems like acute shortage of drinking water, dilapidated condition of roads, ration scarcity, lack of health care facilities and many more,” he said.
Hari Singh Chib, president DCC Rural lambasted the BJP leaders for not showing its serious concern towards the plights of common masses.
He exhorted the party workers to reach to the people in every nook and corner in order to make people aware about the programmes and policies of Congress party. He asked the Congress workers to expose the falsehood of BJP in Jammu region, which sought mandate on false promises and unachievable slogans besides divisive agenda.
Chib urged upon the Government to enhance ration, sugar quota and provide water tankers to the Kandi areas of Jammu district besides giving fertilizer and seeds at subsidized rates.
Among those who were present in the meeting included Kamal Singh, Ravinder Singh, Nirmal Singh, Som Nath Verma, Sandeep Manhas, Shawaz Ahmed, Ajay Sharma, Ajmer Singh, Parshotam Kumar, Vinder Sharma, Sunita Devi, Anita Devi, Kanta Devi, Chander Mohan, Gopi Sharma and others.
