JAMMU, Mar 27: Amid outbreak of COVID-19, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has distributed relief items among needy persons.
Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Shamsher Singh Manhas while reaching out to the poor labourers who are stranded at Janipur area distributed relief among them.
Manhas with the help of DySP West Amit Sharma and a team of police distributed wheat, rice, pulses and oil among 25 families living in temporary shelters at Janipur.
MP visited check point of Janipur Police Station and distributed rain coats and umbrellas amongst the police and para military personnel performing duties.
Meanwhile, Advocate Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today distributed raw food items among the under privileged and economically weaker sections of the society.
However, BJP workers distributed ration kits among 100 Below Poverty Line (BPL) at Bhaderwah, here today.
The distribution of ration kits was carried by the senior functionaries of the party including State Working Committee Member Advocate Manjeet Razdan, District Vice President Sanjay Saraf, Bhaderwah Municipal Committee Vice President Rishi Kotwal, Mandal Pradhan Chinta Bihari Lal and Vijay Kumar.
