BJP dispatches relief material to Valley, Ramban district

JAMMU, Sept 22: A large quantity of relief material consisting of blankets, rice, flour, plastic sheets, tarpaulin, biscuits, salt, water etc. collected by the Party workers from different States  and forwarded to the State unit, was dispatched in five trucks to Ramban, Banihal, Srianagar, Anantnag and adjoining areas today from godown established for receiving and dispatching at Digiana.
The convoy of relief material was flagged off inter-alia by senior leaders of BJP including, State president & MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, Leader of Legislature Party Ashok Khajuria, Election Campaign Committee chairman Dr. Nirmal Singh, State vice-president Chander Prakash Ganga, State general secretary Kavinder Gupta, senior leader Farooq Khan, former MP & BJP leader Ch. Lal Singh and others.
While flagging off the trucks, Jugal Kishore Sharma said these victims of flood have lost their dwellings and household goods and they are in urgent need of tents for which the State BJP has taken up the matter with the Party Head Office at Delhi and it is expected that the demand will be considered.
He said that the Central and State leadership of the Party is fully aware of the sufferings and urgent life requirements of the flood victims and it is for this reason that the party cadre across the country is collecting donations of kind and cash from the people.
Ashok Khajuria, said that it is of paramount importance that the relief of ever Sat Sharma (C.A), Harinder Gupta, Brig. Anil Gupta, Arun Chhibber, Pt. Ashok Khajuria, Baldev Singh Baloria, Vikram Randhawa, Vinay Gupta, Jaideep Sharma, Nand Kishore, Arvind Gupta were also present on the occasion.
