JAMMU, Aug 17: Former minister and senior NC leader Ajay Sadhotra has said that after abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A, BJP has rendered Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh into identity crisis especially youth, while Maharaja’s state of Jammu and Kashmir will become like Delhi where it is very difficult to find out basic inhabitants of Delhi and old cultures and civilizations. This move has opened flood gates for all.
In a press statement issued here today, Sadhotra said BJP has pushed its agenda without going for any legal measures to provide protection to the identity of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and thus ignoring the interests, genuine urges and aspirations of the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. He further added that coming generations will certainly curse the leadership of the time who rendered them into identity crisis.
National Conference leader further added that our country is unique, unity in diversity and every part of the country has its own Identity, culture and civilization. Every section of the society in our country always struggled to preserve its identity and culture. But BJP to complete its Agenda of Abrogation of Article 370 of Indian Constitution rendered the State of Jammu and Kashmir into identity crisis without taking any legal course of action to protect identity and culture of the state, though framers of the Constitution have ensured to safeguard Identity of every region of our country.
Former Minister appealed to the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh to be united to fight for the legal protection of identity of the three regions and further appealed especially youth to keep cool, calm and maintain communal brotherhood at all costs.
