Birthday greetings pour in for Kapil Dev

NEW DELHI, Jan 6: Kapil Dev, India’s first captain to win the ICC World Cup in 1983, has turned 63 on Thursday.
The cricket fraternity poured in their wishes and greetings for the legend. Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Waseem Jaffer and others wished the former captain on social media.
Tendulkar shared a throwback picture on Twitter with the caption, “Many happy returns of the day Kapil paaji. Wish you the best of health and a great year ahead.”
Jaffer shared a 1983 photo of Kapil Dev receiving the World Cup with the caption, “Many can change the course of a match, but this man changed the course of the game itself! A very happy birthday to Kapil Dev paji.” Kapil’s 1983 world cup team mate Madanlal wished him on Twitter and said: Happy birthday kaps. To another year of good health and happy times Kapil Dev”.
India ODI and T20 women’s team captain Mithali Raj: A very happy birthday to you Kapil Dev, Wish you the best of health and happiness. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wrote on Twitter with the caption, “356 international matches 9,031 international runs 687 international wickets. “Here’s wishing Kapil Dev Team India’s 1983 World Cup-winning captain & one of the best all-rounders to have ever played the game – a very happy birthday” (UNI)
