Bhartiya Kala Sangam organizes ‘Festival on Dogri Language/Culture’

JAMMU, July 25: Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu today organised ‘Festival on Dogri Language/Culture’ in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language at K L Saigal Hall.
In this programme, former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta was chief guest whereas MLC Vikram Randhawa presided over the event.
While addressing the audience, Kavinder Gupta lauded the efforts of Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu to organize mesmerizing cultural show with variety of songs depicting Dogra culture. He said that such programme are required to be organised to keep our Dogri language and culture alive and connect our younger generation with Dogri heritage, language and culture.
Earlier,   Sohail Kazmi, Sr Journalist and Patron-in-chief (BKS), gave a brief account of activities done by the club since its inception and constant efforts being made to involve young budding artists to display their talent through the forum of Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu.
The artists who participated to make the evening memorable and mind-blowing,  were Marina Jamwal, Pallavi Koul, Saras Bharti, Nirmal Koul and Aditya (singers), .Kamal Sharma, Chandan, Rakesh Khanna and  Joginder (Instrumentalists)
The function was  conducted by  Kusam Tikoo and vote of thanks was presented by  T R  Sharma,  Chairman Bhartiya Kala Sangam Jammu.
MLA Akhnoor  Rajeev Sharma, Ramesh C  Kotwal (SSP Headquarter), Baldev Singh Balouria (Distt  president BJP, Dr Anita Balouria (HOD University of Jammu]), Dr Abhishek Magotra (Akhnoor),  Amit Sharma (DSP CID),  Sughanda Mahajan (Assistant Professor), Shashi Thakur (DSP, Railway), Gopal Singh, SDM. Akhnoor, Mohan Singh, (Akhnoor), Sandhya Gupta (Founder of women club Meri Pehchan ), were among the distinguished personalities present on the occasion.
