Honouring Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been widely hailed by all across the country. A highest civilian honour was awarded to him for the services that he rendered for the nation. Even his detractors were all praise for him both in this Parliament house and outside. He was the first BJP Prime Minister who was in office between 1998 and 2004. As Prime Minister he won worldwide applause for the peace initiatives he took towards Pakistan. During his tenure relations with America got improved. He proved a good Foreign Minister also before he became Prime Minister of India. He remained a good orator all along his political career in the country. Vajpayee a moderate face of BJP commanded respect even from his opponents. This was a striking feature of his personality.
His four lanes project was a flagship project of his Govt. He was committed to peace in South East Asia. Atal Ji is the man of integrity and trained in Parliamentary language. Vajpayee is not only a great politician but is also a poet. His poems are greatly inspiring and interesting. He was a great nationalist. For a large national cause he would never compromise. Today we are also celebrating 153rd Birthday anniversary of Madan Mohan Malviya too. The founder of Banaras Hindu University, was a multifacited personality, a visionary and a great stalwart of freedom struggle has also been awarded Bharat Ratna. His deeds and missionary work was all remarkable and cannot be forgotten by the people of our country. Madan Mohan Malviya was a great nationalist who still lives in the hearts of people. He is posthumously awarded.
