JAMMU, Mar 30: Terming BJP and PDP the two sides of the same coin, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today said that the two parties are equally responsible for prevailing uncertainty and insecurity in the State.
He appealed people in J&K, especially Youth to help his party to fight nefarious designs of the decisive forces bent upon harming the identity of the State. He further said that this is the right time to remain alert and together to fight the enemy. He said Congress is only party which can ensure equitable development in all the three regions of the State. Mr Bhalla was addressing party workers at Gandhi Nagar constituency today in continuance of series of corner meetings.
Cautioning the people about the communal and divisive forces in the State, Bhalla said that Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have to stay together and people should understand the designs of such forces and strengthen secularism, unity and integrity of the State.
Exhorting the workers to strengthen Congress, Bhalla said that the only way for this is to serve the people as has been said by Sonia Gandhi who has described politics as another name of service to people. He said that all party men have to work hard in addressing the problems of the people and come up to their expectations to further strengthen the party. Bhalla called upon the youth to be architect of modern, prosperous and secular Jammu & Kashmir by strengthening the political forces committed to safeguarding Indian ethos of brotherhood, secular character and democratic values.
Bhalla alleged that BJP was bent upon to disturb the peace and amity in the State by igniting the passions of the people and raising the bogey of terrorism in the State by raking up inflammatory issues just to satisfy its lust for power. He advised the BJP to desist from such nefarious designs as these could trigger off a situation of unrest and communal tension in the State which could be further exploited by the hostile neighbour.
