JAMMU, Jan 20: People of Belicharana, Doda Basti, have been living in darkness for last one week after the power transformer got damaged.
Gujjar & Bakkerwal, State president, Choudhary Nazakat Khatana, said that though Belicharana is only one kilometer from the city yet authorities concerned failed to replace the damaged transformer as a result the whole locality has plunged into darkness.
Moreover, from last one week even the damaged transformer has not been lifted by the PDD officials, which shows how serious they are towards their job.
Demanding repair of the transformer and restoration of the power supply, Khatana said if the damaged transformer is not replaced and power supply restore within one day, the people of the locality will resort to protest and block road on January 22.
