JAMMU, Jan 17: A delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), under the leadership of Lalit Mahajan, its president, met Yasha Mudgal, Managing Director, J&K Power Distribution Corporation limited, Jammu and highlighted the various issues related to the Industrial Sector of J&K for early resolution.
During discussions, Mahajan draw the kind attention of the Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation limited in respect of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ concept to be adopted by the Power Development Department as it will take months to get a fresh power connections or additional load by the Industrial Units due to cumbersome procedure adopted by the Power Development Department as the files moves on 16 Tables between JEs/AEEs/Executive Engineers /Superintendent Engineers and Chief Engineers of different wings of the Department.
Further, it has been brought into the notice of Managing Director in respect of simplification of procedure for the surrender of Power connections by Industrial units, Non availability of spares and consumables at receiving stations, provision of bunch cable in Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana for 11KV Feeders, Implementation of decision taken in respect of Simple Interest chargeable on the outstanding payments of Power bills, permission for obtaining NOC from PDD for the DG Set by Industrial Units, waiver off surcharge for closed Units, to Freeze the present Power Tariff for next Five Years keeping in mind the lowest transmission loses in Industrial Sector of J&K with the reduction of Electricity Duty from 15% at present to 5%. & also request for the release of pending payments of MSME Industrial Units for the supply of Materials under the Sobhagya Scheme of the Govt. of India and Procurement Wing of the Department.
Yasha Mudgal, gave a patient hearing in respect of the issues raised by BBIA & assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis.
