JAMMU, Sept 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association has put forth its demands for consideration of the Government on priority basis.
Addressing a press Conference Lt Col. (Retd) Manohar Lal Kaith stated that no society is secure if any section of society is deprived of its needs. The association urged the Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Professor M.P.S.Ishar to sympathetically reconsider genuine plea of R.L.Kaith for his elevation.
The association also urged the Vice-Chancellor to reinstate innocent Raj Singh Nandan.and transfer Sham Lal Sandhu from Kathua Campus to main campus, Jammu considering his family circumstances.
It also urged upon the Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand to pay his attention towards problems of the Batwal community. It was pointed out that a memorandum of basic demands has already been submitted to him.
On the occasion, the association also released ‘Telephone Directory 2012’ containing names, addresses, designations and contact numbers of all its members.
Prominent among others who were present at the press conference included Capt Girdhari Lal Kaith, Capt Kamal Chand Motan, Capt Kamal Dass Kaith, Hav Des Raj Kaith, Piara Lal Lakhotra, Sat Pal Lakhotra and Ravi Kumar Lakhotra.
