JAMMU, Mar 19: Renowned Dogri Litterateur, Dr. Rattan Basotra has been awarded with Vidhyasagar Upadhi (Honorary D. Lit.) by the Vikramshilla Hindi Vidhya Peet, Bhagalpur (Bihar) for his outstanding contribution in the field of language and literature.
A handout stated that there are so many awards and Honours in the credit of Dr. Basotra.
He is presently working as In-charge Chief Editor in the Dictionary section of J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages at Jammu and is also associated with many literary and cultural organizations of the State as well as those at national level.
Basotra is also working as Editor of Dogri Sheeraza.
